How Can Real Madrid Beat Barcelona Next Time?

Monday, December 12th, 2011

Sat. night was the 1st “clasico” of the Spanish league this season, the clashes between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid that have come to designate the centralist view of Spain versus the nation of nations espoused by many Catalans and that in the year have often become overheated on the pitch and spilled over into some pretty upsetting scenes.

With FC Barcelona trailing Real Madrid by 3 points despite having played an extra match thanks to having to play a match early thanks to the Club World Cup in Japan in December and Real Madrid having an incredible string of wins in a row it was looking like Bara’s recent stranglehold may not be so tight.

And having been widely criticized for his before and after match escapades, Madrid coach Jose Mourinho stayed silent on the subject of the forthcoming clash, having maybe realized that his taunts and inflammatory behaviour only appeared to make Barcelona’s resolution all of the stronger.

Nevertheless in the first 25 seconds of the match something unexpected occurred and Real Madrid capitalised on a rare mistake by Victor Valdes allowing their foe to score. This looked to be the type of nightmare start some people were fearing, not believing that it would be feasible to beat Real Madrid once again in their home stadium.

This early shot across the bows from Madrid seemed to focus the minds of the Barcelona players are they shortly got back onto winning form. The game slanted in Barcelona’s favor and they were obviously outmanoeuvring Madrid in spite of some robust and perilous looking counterattacks.

Barcelona equalised after 30 minutes and looked like they were more than back in the game. And in the second half they were shortly in the lead directly to make winning look like an increasingly probable option. When Barcelona’s third goal was scored it was clear that Madrid could not match the brilliancy of Barcelona and notwithstanding being in strong form this season, still not in the same class.

Therefore what now for Real Madrid? How do they regroup as this defeat by Barcelona will have seriously dented their confidence. He is already tried several different strategies to beat Barcelona but in the last 8 encounters has won just once. So how will Jose Mourinho make preparations for the following clasico in April?

Part of the success of FC Barcelona is the youth training scheme. If you want to see them play order FC Barcelona tickets in advance and avoid disappointment.

Long Term Investment In Players Helps Barcelona

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

FC Barcelona is a football club located in Catalonia, an autonomous region of Spain. While many folks need independence from Spain, the majority are content to remain part of Spain although they wish other communities in the country respected them culture and language more, most vitally from Madrid.

The tensions between FC Barcelona and Madrid are often demonstrated when their competitions spill over onto the football field with the groups bitter rivals. Out of all the clubs in Spain they're two that are well known, most successful and best financed. The biggest difference between them though is the composition of the squads.

While Real Madrid is focused on spending its considerable financial firepower on signing some of the world's best players, FC Barcelona has invested seriously in its youth academy and will produce lots of its star players in house. Notable Barcelona youngsters include Lionel Messi, Carles Puyol, Andres Iniesta, Victor Valdes, Xavi Hernadez, Gerard Pique and Cesc Fbregas; the majority of the existing squad in truth as well as FC Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.

One of the most important spin offs of this approach is that the players learn to read their squad really early on. When they come to play for the primary team they slot in instantly and can run rings round the opposition thanks to their power to about mind-read their squad.

However , that isn’t to claim Madrid’s approach doesn't work. As I write this they're top of the Spanish League with Barcelona 1 or 2 points behind after losing their first match of the season. But it is still to be seen whether the enormous amounts required to buy new players are supportable in the long term and other clubs in Europe, most particularly Manchester Town, have looked closely at the Catalan model to bring up children in the team and play the long term game.

Simply Barcelona Tickets provides match reports and other news as well as supplying FC Barcelona tickets for la liga and other competitions. When you visit Barcelona make sure you avoid disappointment buy ordering Barcelona tickets in advance.

Why Real Madrid needs to change its focus

Saturday, October 8th, 2011

It's a funny old game is football, or “soccer” as it is more often known in North America. You only need to take a look at some of the latest ends in the Spanish League, where sour rivals FC Barcelona and real Madrid are slugging it out, despite not actually facing each other for the 1st time till December.

While both groups began well, FC Barcelona slipped when what should have been a fairly snug win against Real Sociedad turned into a draw. And just when they wanted something to show they had not lost that special something that they once more drew, this time against AC Milan in the Champs League, thanks to an injury time goal before the final whistle.

Critics immediately laid into FC Barcelona, asserting they’d lost their touch; two average results is all that it takes to call a crisis. However , they responded with an 8-0 win against Osasuna, their best result since the 90s, instantly silencing their critics again.

Even though it looked rosy for Barcelona, things all of a sudden went really bad for Real Madrid. While they had won their first 2 matches and sat at the head of the classifications they then lost 1-0 against Levante, a team that should hardly be in the 1st division such is its poor state.

This is meant to be Real Madrid’s year, the second season under Jose Mourinho. However , you cannot stop thinking that his total focus on what Barcelona are doing is his best weakness. Fielding an under-strength squad against Levante showed huge arrogance, that’s for sure.

But what will lose Real Madrid the league again this season isn’t what FC Barcelona does or doesn't do. It is down to how many points Real Madrid can gain, making sure that they beat groups like Levante and all the remainder of the clubs at the bottom of La Liga. If Mourinho is to bring the success that Real Madrid needs he must shift his focus, fast.

Can “the special one” shrug off a poor start to the season?

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Jose Mourinho is well known for his mental posturing against opponents in press conferences and frequently comes across as hardly in charge of himself. Having won a major battle at Real Madrid in the dismissal of General manager Jorge Valdano, his harshest internal critic, and thus securing more power for himself as Madrid’s coach this is the season he has to deliver the goods.

Nevertheless while Madrid started off well and we're simply a few matches in, his dream appears to have started to unscramble. He has famously said that his 2nd season in any club is when he delivers, but with his entire focus seeming to be on arch-rival FC Barcelona he has just had 2 gigantic problems that he can barely afford.

First Real Madrid was beaten by Levante, a team that is the polar opposite to Real Madrid, with low paid players and a hardly functional team that's lucky to be in top flight Spanish football. And then they drew with Racing Santander, losing some vital points which they may actually need in the long stretch.

A poll by Sporting newspaper AS which backs Madrid found that lots of its readers laid the blame fully at the feet of Mourinho; while intending to shift the blame to referees and opposition players he has failed to take responsibility himself for what many consider a dismal start. And we're beginning to hear talk of another crisis year at Real Madrid.

But what quantity of an emergency is it really, when a team such as Real Madrid comes second in the league after a much superior teams such as Bara? While fans could be disappointed their side is still principally delivering the goods.

Mourinho’s big problem will be the patience of Florentino Perez, Madrid’s president. While he has backed “the special one” so far in his career at Madrid there will come a point when he can snap. Mourinho is Real Madrid’s eleventh coach in seven years, so that the club does not flinch in making such changes. Can Real Madrid’s fortunes change before that occurs?

On match days up to 80,000 supporters stream through its gates to see the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo work their magic on the field. Tourists on Spain’s football trail can take an all-access tour of the stadium and see the player’s locker rooms, bench and the tunnel to the pitch revealing a breath-taking panoramic view of the arena.
